Meet Our Pastor

Rev. Judith Cooke has been a pastor for over twenty years. She has served churches of various sizes and locations, primarily in Connecticut. She is committed to providing inspiring and relevant worship, building relationships, providing pastoral care, and engaging in meaningful outreach to the community.

In her ministerial profile, she wrote:

As a pastor, I am passionate about helping people identify and use their best gifts in meaningful and inspiring ways. Each person has been created and blessed with unique gifts. Using them well blesses all involved. I delight in helping people find their niche in the church, where they find a gratifying and meaningful place to flourish and serve in faith. Together the church is much more than the sum of its parts, and we are called to unwrap our gifts from God and put them to good use.

When people talk about their God given gifts, they become excited about sharing them. Following the energy and talents of church members has led me down some unanticipated and inspiring paths, such as the creation of a prayer trail, puppet ministry, and unconventional (and extremely popular) stewardship programs. When people explore how the delights of their heart can be used in faithful ways, the tasks of the church are accomplished in exciting and meaningful ways. It increases energy, creates a sense of fulfillment, encourages others to offer their own gifts, draws new people into the church, and most importantly serves God.

Judith lives in Killingworth, with her husband Jay, who is also an ordained minister. They met when they both were attending Princeton Theological Seminary. They have a son Jamison who attends Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
